A Man Wed Two Woman The same Day,Implores Other Men To Do Likewise.

- A young man is currently trending on the internet after he wedded two women on the same day
- According to reports, he had courted these women for eight months and convinced them to marry him
- He stated that he wants many children, hence his reason for marrying two women
Bashir Mohamed is the man of the moment after news of his unique wedding went viral on the internet. The Somalian man reportedly wedded two women on the same day.
According to Bashir, he would encourage other men to do same if they can afford it. He further revealed that he courted both women; Iqra and Nimo, for eights months and that they were satisfied with the arrangement of the relationship.
Speaking with BBC Somali, he had this to say, "I used to bring them together to socialise with me at my home. I used to say openly to both of them that I love them.
The advantage of marrying both at the same time was that they would not get "jealous" later, and would know from the beginning that they were in a polygamous marriage.
According to BBC Somali, although polygamy is accepted in the Somalian culture, marrying two women on the same day is not so common.
However, reports show that it has happened a few times in the last few years, suggesting that a new trend may be starting.
Bashir got married to the two women in Sinai village in the breakaway state of Somaliland on June 22.
